Sure there are conversion algorithms that would find a closest match. If you're wondering if there's a matching pair of algorithms that allows one to convert back and forth between RGB and CMYK without losing data I'd guess no but I'm not sure about that at all. –
To convert, simply go to Files > Document Color Mode > CMYK Color. Step 1: Click the hidden tab. Step 2: Click CMYK. Step 3: Double click the Fill color box to adjust the color. Or you can adjust the color on the color slides. Step 4: Choose the color you want to change to and hit OK.
Hi, graphic design noob here. I have completed my design that is intended for printing. But the design is all in RGB and the printer shop request for CMYK version. How can I convert to CMYK without losing the color quality? Anyone has similar experience? I have tried to change the document color mode to CMYK but the color become dull.
Change color mode from RGB to CMYK is not enough, because don't add color profile. The best way is to convert to bitmap (altough already is a bitmap) because include a ICC color profile, and if the bitmap has a lens it will convert as an Alpha channel, so is faster to display. Speed vs Quality, sorry
